Physical MovementsThe purpose of yoga is to stimulate both the mind and body and bring you into a state of being where you can utilize your mind and body to the optimum. Movement in acting is all about body dynamics – the way the elements in a scene cause your body to move or react. All movement exercises are gentle exercises and not meant to be vigorous. It is absolutely necessary for the actor’s presence to be felt on stage. Improvisation is an essential ingredient in acting.

A mime artist must truly believe in the reality of the illusion being created. Corporal mime places emphasis on the actor’s body and not other aspects such as voice, lighting, costume, or set design.

Natyadharma and Lokdharma are the principal codes of the Indian dance-drama. Natyadharma is understood as the code or rule of conduct for the artist. Lokadharma urges the actor to use his emotions such that it will produce genuine grief.

Judo is a soft martial art mainly using body maneuvers against an opponent. Karate on the other hand is a hard martial art where are blows are landed on an opponent’s body. Karate uses aggression whereas Judo is based on defense techniques. Some other forms of martial arts include Thang Ta and Kalaripayattu.

Western Dance has evolved from diverse native dance forms that were brought by people of different cultures when they landed in America. Indian classical dance is based on Rasas that are a result of the interrelated elements of Vibhava, Anubhava and Vyabicaribhavas.
Bollywood Dance Bollywood dance is the form of dance used in the Indian films. This dance form uses numerous styles that include belly-dancing, kathak, Indian folk, Western popular, and “modern”, jazz, and even Western erotic dancing.
